Program Description
Arktos SMS Alerts is a personal automated notification service that delivers real-time portfolio monitoring alerts to the system operator. This is a closed, single-user notification system. No marketing messages are sent. No third parties receive messages.
Who Sends and Receives Messages
Messages are sent by Arktos, an automated trading monitoring system operated and maintained by Eric Pound on personal hardware located in Huntersville, NC. The sole recipient of all messages is Eric Pound at a single verified mobile number. No other individuals receive messages from this system under any circumstances.
How Consent Is Obtained
The recipient of these messages is the same individual who designed, configured, and operates the Arktos software system. By installing, configuring, and actively operating the Arktos notification system — including entering their mobile phone number into the system configuration — the operator explicitly and voluntarily opts in to receive automated SMS alerts from the system.
The operator acknowledges and agrees to the following at the time of system configuration:
I am the sole operator and sole recipient of Arktos SMS alerts
I am voluntarily configuring this system to send notifications to my personal mobile number
I understand that automated messages will be sent to my mobile number during US stock market hours
I understand that standard message and data rates may apply
I understand I may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
Message Types
Messages sent by this system include:
Portfolio circuit breaker alerts (position down 20% or more from entry price)
Momentum decay alerts (model score deterioration on held positions)
Replacement suggestions (recommended alternative positions when alerts fire)
System status notifications
Example message: "Arktos: AXON down 21.3% from entry — stop loss triggered. Suggested replacement: INTU (score: 0.581, ~$362). Reply 1=auto-sell+buy, 2=keep and review manually."
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on market conditions. On days with no alert conditions, no messages are sent. On active market days, the system may send up to 6 messages between 9:30am and 4:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. No messages are sent on weekends or US federal holidays when markets are closed.
Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Arktos does not charge any fees for SMS notifications.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any message at any time to immediately disable all SMS notifications from this system. You will receive one confirmation message acknowledging the opt-out and no further messages will be sent.
Reply START at any time to re-enable notifications.
Reply HELP at any time to receive contact information and a link to this page.
Data and Privacy
This system does not collect, store, or share personal data with any third parties. Your mobile number is stored only in the local configuration file on the operator's personal hardware and is used exclusively to deliver the notifications described on this page. It is never transmitted to or shared with any external service other than Twilio, which is used solely as the SMS delivery mechanism.
